8mm Film Projectors
It's the (Ilford) Elmo FP 8mm Silent film Projector, made in Nagoya, Japan and sold in Canada by Arrow Photographic Equipment Ltd.
Couldn't find much information on it other than from 8mmprojector.net, they said "Elmo it's basically the best 8mm projector manufacture no matter what model we are talking about."
They were well built, solid and very expensive in their day. I believe this one was built in 1963.
This one still works although I think I threaded it wrong. I can't remember every thing from AV class in Jr High School.
I love the looks of this Keystone Brightbeam 8mm projector. It is quite minimal. The bulb and controls in the larger housing, a motor around back and the lens and film out in the open, all on a swivel stand. It even has a carry handle. It was made in Boston Mass, USA in
the late 40's or early 50's.
