Some say blurry focus, vignetted, over saturated, over sharpened. With rules like, don't think,
shoot from the hip, take your camera every where it kind'a sounds like regular photography.
My favorite is "Don't worry about any rules".
Lomo photographs are taken with LOMO brand cameras or a cheaply made plastic camera, don't worry about lens quality, just shoot.
The LOMO brand cameras were a Russian made product I don't know if
they are suppose to be low quality but they appear to be.
That seems to be their virtue.
The element of surprise seems to be big with lomographers. In your face photography. Point and shoot, anything.
Surprise, I think that was one of the reasons I gave up shooting film I was always surprised how bad the pictures turned out. Lomographers see them differently I guess.
Characteristics of a Lomo Photograph
1) Cross Processed Colors
2) Increased Saturation
3) Blown Highlights/Clipped Shadows
4) Heavy Vignetting
5) Film Grain
6) Sharp Center/Blurred Edges
