souless dead body comes back to life and infects the living by eating them.
Now the Zombie craze has only gotten bigger over the years with planned Zombie events everywhere.

Starting it's third season, the weekly hour long drama pits the post apocalyptic humans doing in the masses of undead "walkers" by killing the brain, which is the only way to stop the Zombies. It's imagery is a bit graphic but because they are already dead it does not seem to matter much.
