Being behind a slow moving logging truck in the rain.
Did I mention It rained today?
That would stop the dust and small rocks from flying up into the air and on to my windshield also when it rained
the massive amount of water spraying up high into the air behind them.
Motor Vehicle Department Employees and Department of Highways Vehicle Inspectors. All off the record.
What I did find out was according to the Motor Vehicle Department, all vehicles must have wheel covers, period.
So why not Logging Trucks?
A Weigh Scale Attendant whose job is to keep trucks under a specified weight and to make sure they are safe to be on the highways, told me "we are not asked to monitor that".
Most drivers I spoke to said it would be a pain in the rear having to pick branches and rocks out from under
them all the time. They didn't want the hassle.
Well maybe not for ever. . . .
