Do you want to know how to take the best pictures on your holiday? Be in the right place at the right time for starters! If you are going on a Vacation soon and you like to take great pictures on your holidays you will want to know where the best places to shoot are in advance? There's a couple of good ways to to find this information. Nothing can beat talking to a local photographer, about subject matter, weather conditions, sunset, sunrise, transportation, and distances to a locations (how long is the hike in?). Find the secret locations only locals know. _Another good way you can do that is to start is with the internet, Google Earth, Google Maps, Tourist sites, Blogs etc. . . . You can search out popular locations, where are they, how close are they to your hotel, what kind of terrain will you be encountering. With Google Earth or Maps you can get an idea of all these things and better yet you can possibly view other photographs images of the area. Google's Panoramio and satellite imaging can show you before you go. With a satellite image you can pre-explore the area, check the areas that have the most photos of the area, there's got to be something good there. Check the weather for the time of year you will be arriving with...The weather network or any other satellite weather service that has up to date weather as well as weather history and forecasts. Check the sunrise and sunset times, if you are on the coast the tide charts and wave heights (great for storm watching). Or just for nice warm, pleasant weather. Although those ways can give you some necessary information about your destination there is nothing like getting the help of a local professional in the area. Call me, let me make your Vancouver Island visit the most memorable vacation ever.
